Recipient of a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award in "Historical Love and Laughter," Casey Claybourne would like to add to her trophy shelf the prestigious Career Achievement Award in "Mothering Two Teenage Children." Currently serving a life sentence with the PTA, Casey annually logs thousands of miles as a soccer/track/cross-country mom, aided at times by her husband, Sheltie and Yorkie.

A resident of Northern California, Casey is a graduate of UC Berkeley where she took an honors degree in nineteenth century French Literature. She began writing in 1993 and was fortunate enough to publish her very first manuscript, The Devil's Darling, with Berkley/Jove in 1994. That sale was followed by eleven more, earning her along the way "Favorite Regency of the Year" from Affaire de Coeur and nominations for both the PRISM and the RITA.

When not chauffeuring her offspring, Casey enjoys gardening, reading, yoga and walking.
