    by Amy Jarecki

Just looking at the mysterious and stunning woman brings trouble.

But former Australian Air Force pilot Luke Fox isn’t the type to shirk away from a challenge. When ICE sends him in undercover to take down the most notorious drug cartel in Mexico, he’s not planning to encounter tempting and complex Mia. Further, Luke believes the woman to be part of the drug lord’s gang…until he uncovers the truth.

Intrigued by the cartel’s new pilot, she takes reckless risks.

Kidnapped when she was a child, Mia has lived her life in fear under the roof of a cold and heartless tyrant. Though she knows the punishment for her curiosity, she cannot help but seek to learn more about the new man who is so different from the others—and he’s the only one who’s not afraid to talk to her.

As forbidden romance blossoms, they face the most dangerous challenge of their lives.

Luke must complete his mission, but the stakes have just quadrupled. Shocked by the brutal truth, he refuses to end it without taking Mia with him. As the enemy closes in, all seems lost. Who saves whom in this fast-paced, heart-stopping struggle of good against evil?

    Amy Jarecki's Bio

Amy embarked on her writing journey shortly after she completed an MBA with Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. Her first manuscripts were suspense novels and were never published. She calls them baptism by fire---lessons in learning to write fiction. These lessons, combined with several writing conferences and classes, led her to write her first published book, Boy Man Chief, which won the League of Utah Writers award for Best Manuscript, and the Spark Book Award. A lot has happened since, with some of the highlights being Rise of a Legend winning the national RONE award for Best Time Travel; hitting the Amazon Top 100 Bestseller list; and a host of other accolades. Amy enjoys the freedom of authorship and the opportunity to work creatively every day. She has lived in Australia, Bermuda and has spent extensive time in Scotland. Whenever possible, she visits the places she writes about to add vibrant realism to her stories. She loves writing Scottish historical romance, and now she's adding romantic suspense to the mix. Come along for the ride!
