Vow to Protect
by Ann Voss Peterson

The wedding invitation sent to Cordell Turner had looked innocent enough. But the person who had sent it, notorious serial killer Dryden Kane, was anything but. With the calculating murderer on the loose, Cord was headed for a most unexpected family reunion.

Melanie Frist never imagined she'd see Cord's icy blues ever again. But after she was targeted by a killer, Cord reappeared on her doorstep expecting to find only one life at stake. Instead he found one more than he bargained for. Would Cord be able to keep his newfound family safe from harm, or would the joyful reunion end in tears?

Ann Voss Peterson's Bio

Ever since she was a little girl making her own books out of construction paper, Ann wanted to write. So when it came time to choose a major subject at the University of Wisconsin, the only subject she could choose was creative writing. Of course, that wasn't a very practical thing to do. One needs to earn a living. So Ann turned to jobs ranging from proofreading legal transcripts, to working with quarter horses, to washing windows. But no matter what she did for a living, she continued to write the type of stories that captured her heart and fired her imagination. Romantic suspense stories.

In 2000 Ann saw her first novel published by Harlequin Intrigue, and her wide variety of job experience became material for her stories. Since then, she has published eleven novels and novellas with several more on the way. Her books have been nominated for many awards, including the Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award in 2002 and the Daphne du Maurier Award for Excellence in Romantic Suspense three years in a row!

Now Ann spends her days writing, reading, and enjoying life in her home near Madison, Wisconsin where she lives with her husband, her two young sons, and her Border collie.
