Once Upon a Family
by Betty Hanawa

A bitter divorce has Sam Michaels wary of commitment. His friendship with Janie McDaniel is no more than whipped cream on the satisfying life he enjoys. Widowed Janie is content with her life with her son. She's not going to risk her friendship with Sam with a brief fling.

Betty Hanawa's Bio

Betty clearly identifies with the ladies who came in every other week when she worked in a bookstore and filled a shopping bag with romances. Romances have always been one of my favorite forms of stress relief. I need time to kick back and relax. I don't want death and mayhem. I don't want evil horrors that will trigger nightmares. I want a satisfying story about a woman and a man finding happiness with themselves and each other. If the story can make me shed a tear or, even better, laugh, then I'm happy.
