    Lord of Mists
    by Desiree Lindsey

When Madeline Carlton sets out to save her father's life— all she must do is bring back the mysterious healer of Radnor Forest. What she runs in to, is a creature of confounding beauty who makes it brutally clear he wants nothing to do with her.

Tormented by what love destroyed once, Dance D'epanier doesn't care why Madeline is trespassing—he wants her gone. Living in solitude with his pet wolves, he struggles with bitter memories when he lost not only his healing gift, but all he held dear in this world. Those memories help him resist the lure of desire, for to risk touching his beautiful nemesis would be unforgivable—if he weakens, she will be put to death by the madman who haunts his life.

    Desiree Lindsey's Bio

Anita Desiree' Moore left behind the 9 to 5 work force with the government and gave up her RN degree to move to the wide open spaces of Colorado where she now writes what she loves to read...historical romance. After taking first place honors for her historical novella, she finally caught the editors eye and three days before Christmas 1997 sold her debut, ENSLAVED (Red Sage "Secrets" volume four Anthology/Mass Market Paperback Fiction/December 1998/ $12.99). Writing as Desiree' Lindsey, her debut novella is now featured in Doubleday Hardback. With that first sell and a release coming out in December, she was offered another contract from an electronic publisher. Her second release is a full-length historical, PRISONER OF PASSION, available September 1999.

Lindsey says it was her English Instructor in college that got her started thinking about writing. At the time she insisted her goal was to get into the medical profession, but then as soon as she picked up a romance and started reading...she was hooked. A well written romance is a golden treasure, says Lindsey, providing adventure and travel to far places. They make up 56% of all mass market paperback sales and have been proven to spice up one's love life. Perhaps more important though, Desiree' believes romance books advocate literacy among genders of all race and religions; they deal with real life issues and provide both men and women hours of entertainment...they encourage healthy monogamous relationships, and inspire hope and rehabilitate victims of domestic abuse. For all these reasons, Desiree' has chosen to write romance, but mostly she writes because she loves creating adventures for readers. Living on the rugged plains of Colorado with her own real-life hero and two children--where her belief in the power of life-altering love is a part of life--Desiree' Lindsey admits her greatest joy is giving readers a small window of time to let their imaginations soar.
