Unlikely Lover
by Diana Palmer

New York Times bestselling author Diana Palmer crafts a heartwarming cowboy romance of mistaken identity, opposites attracting, and matchmaking mixups in Unlikely Lover.

Mari Raymond's wily matchmaking Aunt Lillian has convinced her that she needs to travel to an elderly oilman's ranch to help with his memoir. But when Mari arrives at Ward Jessup's ranch, she finds he is anything but old and unwell. The sparks fly when Ward realizes that the sad and vulnerable young woman Lillian told him about is hardly a helpless girl. Once they realized they've been tricked, it's too late. The two couldn't be more different, and they're decidedly not looking for love, especially not with each other. But they can't fight the power of Cupid's arrow...and Aunt Lillian's wily ways.

Originally published December 1986 in Silhouette Romance #472 and reissued numerous times.
