The Madcap Heiress
by Emily Hendrickson

Young, spirited, and independent of mind, Emma Lawrence refuses to give herself to any man on a whim. As an heiress to a vast estate, she has had more than her share of hopeful suitors—including her pompous, bullying cousin Claude—who were more interested in her purse than in pursuing her heart.

Of little means but proud bearing, Adam Herbert is loath to follow in his father's footsteps as a humble rector—and visits his great-uncle, the Earl of Stanwell, to see what else the world has to offer. What he finds is an unexpected treasure in the beguiling Emma—who learns that despite her great inheritance, the love she desires is worth far more than any fortune...
