When private investigator Valerie Parker tails a cheating wife late one night, the woman is murdered and the man she's with becomes the prime suspect. She gets an even bigger shock when she realizes the identity of the man--it's police detective Alex DeMarco, an old flame she swore she'd never speak to again. But then her own life is threatened, and before she can blink she's on the run, side-by-side with the gorgeous man who once shattered her dreams and broke her heart...all in the same day. By the author of I GOT YOU, BABE, Rita Finalist for Best Single Title Contemporary Romance of 2001.

    Jane Graves' Bio

When Jane was five, her parents told her the book she'd written, Padre the Mexican Mouse, was a literary masterpiece. When she found out later that she'd named her dashing young mouse hero "Father" and that rodents really didn't have nationalities, she was crushed.

Later, Jane earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in the sequence of Professional Writing, but several years passed before she pursued publication. About that time, a friend handed her five romance novels from her keeper shelf, and a few days later after reading them all, she was hooked!

In 1999, Jane was a finalist for Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award, which led to her first sale to Harlequin Duets. Several more sales followed shortly after that, and now this award-winning author writes single- title contemporary romances for Ballantine/Ivy, as well as series romance for Harlequin Temptation under the name Jane Sullivan. She lives in a the Dallas area with her husband, her teenage daughter, and a beautiful but brainless cat who keeps her company while she's hard at work on her next book.
