According to Mayan doomsday prophecy, 12/21/12 marks the end of the world in a global cataclysm that can only be prevented by the Nightkeepers, magical warriors enlisted to fight the rise of the underworld demons. To fulfill the final prophecy the Nightkeepers must find their mates, but when Lucius and Jade are charged with rescuing the Mayan sun god, they try to ignore their growing attraction. Unless they can confront their own demons and accept that love isn’t a weakness, even destiny might not be able to save them...
Me in five hundred words or less. . .
When I finished grad school with a PhD in Genetics, a Patent Agent's registration from the U.S. Patent and Trade Office and a finished (albeit deeply flawed) romantic suspense manuscript, I realized something kinda scary. . . I didn't want to work in a big Boston law firm, a genetics lab or a pharma company. I wanted to write romantic thrillers for a living.
Thankfully, my fiance, Brian, supported the idea (phew!). He even petitioned his company for domestic partners' health insurance so I could leave the lab to write full time, while working as a scientific editor to keep some $$ coming in.
I started writing seriously in 1998 and got The Call from Harlequin Intrigue in the spring of 2002. Dr. Bodyguard came out in the fall of 2003, and since then I've written more than a dozen Intrigues that have been translated into a variety of languages and have sold over a million copies in total. I've been nominated for a Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award and two RITA awards, and hit the Waldenbooks bestseller list.
These days, I'm working on several Intrigues as well as a dark paranormal series set in the final four years before December 21, 2012, the day the ancient Maya predicted the world would end. The first of the Final Prophecy books, NIGHTKEEPERS, is scheduled for release in June 2008 as a lead title for Signet Eclipse!
