In the technological mecca of 21st century Colorado Spring, Megan Cooper is in the business of virtual reality gaming. Her competition, Jake Mason, comes from a family of genetic telepaths. An electrical mishap traps Megan and Jake in the virtual world. They must cooperate to find the way out. In the process they fall in love. Another unforeseen mishap separates them just before they unlock the key to their return. Will they find each other again in the real world, or was their romance just a condition of virtual hearts?
Karin Huxman thinks of herself as a New Englander having grown up in southeastern Massachusetts, but counts herself as fortunate to have traveled to or lived in many of our fifty states. Her deep love of animals combined with an utter fascination with outer space led to her desire to be the first veterinarian astronaut. She majored in Biology in college and received her commission in the Air Force upon graduation. However, astronaut training was not in her future. She embarked upon an altogether different voyage when she married fellow Air Force officer, Jay, while stationed in Nebraska. The adventure continued when Karin traded in her captain's rank for the higher calling of motherhood. Three children later, she added published writer, novelist, and poet to her list of accomplishments. In 2001, Karin was awarded a Master of Fine Arts degree in Writing from Norwich University. She has taught writing to adults at the community college level and currently works as a librarian at an elementary school where she serves up her love of books and writing to youngsters daily.
Now calling Colorado home, Karin splits her time between family, work, writing, reading, walking the dog, and keeping tabs on three teenagers, an elderly Siamese cat, and an ever changing number of hermit crabs and fish.
