I learned as a child not to trust beautiful women, and if I've ever seen a beautiful woman, it's Sierra Doucet. Much to my surprise, she finally stopped making empty promises to come home to Belle Terre and is finally here in the flesh. Which has her grandmother Celeste beside herself with happiness, but I just seem to be getting more and more nervous.
It's bad enough that Sierra is even more beautiful in person and is surprisingly nice for a former teen model. But within days, she has begun to ask questions about managing the farm, which is my job and my business. Also, this doesn't sound like a short visit, and she seems to have plans, now that she's home, to make changes. And yet, Celeste still refuses to tell Sierra that the farm was sold to me years ago.
Now I'm forced to maintain the deception so long as Celeste insists. Which wouldn't be such a problem if I didn't find myself much more attached to and protective of the surprisingly lovable Sierra than I ever planned. And I'm losing sleep wondering how upset she'll be when she finds out her father's land is now mine. And the more I dream of a happy future with her, the more I see the disaster that's headed straight for us.
