Amy, a single mom, and her twin girls find two golden tabby kittens out in the snow and bring them into the church basement. The local veterinarian, Dr. Jake, is there at the church for winter potluck with his basset hound, Bummer.

Bummer “adopts” the kittens.

And decides that he needs to be with them. Much to his owner’s dismay. From that night the twins, the kittens and Bummer outmaneuver Dr. Jake as he tries to keep his distance from the danger of falling in love. One failed marriage is enough.
