Lady of Sin
by Madeline Hunter

Charlotte does not like Nathaniel Knightridge much. He is conceited and arrogant and he acts as if he knows her game better than she does. Nathaniel does not care for Charlotte either. For one thing, she keeps using that tone with him. The crisp, challenging, annoying one that says he has a come-uppance due, and she for one is not impressed with him., etc., etc. The one that made him want to shake her. Or kiss her and caress her until she whimpers in submissive pleasure.

Now they are sparring anew as they unravel a mystery, and discovering that in one way at least, they rub together very well indeed. It helps enormously that neither one can talk while they are kissing, of course.
