    Marly Chance's Bio

Marly Chance, a dreamy bookworm turned professional writer, lives in a small Tennessee town where truth is always stranger than fiction. She believes in happy endings, chocolate, and good friends. Her writing career began in the fourth grade with poetic thoughts in little notebooks. At age eleven, and a great deal of bad poetry later, she read "Gone With The Wind" and fell in love with Rhett Butler. She was young. He was fictional. It didn't last. However, her love affair with romance books was permanent.

She eventually switched from notebooks to computer and continued to write for personal pleasure. Her family encouraged her to submit her efforts to a publisher but she remained skeptical. After reading the draft of "Oath Of Seduction: Seducing Sharon," her husband demanded quite strongly that she submit the manuscript SOMEWHERE. Her attempts to explain the tough realities of getting published fell on deaf ears.

Finally, she agreed to try, mostly to prove her point. Because the books from Ellora's Cave Romantica E-Publishers were her favorites, (seven drafts later) she submitted the manuscript to them. EC contracted for the entire trilogy. "Oath Of Seduction: Seducing Sharon" released in January of 2002 and "Oath of Challenge: Conquering Kate" released in May of 2002. Oath Of Seduction was honored as a "Top Pick" by Romantic Times Magazine and nominated for the Reviewers' Choice Award for Best Small Press Futuristic Book of 2002.

Her husband never lets her forget that he was right (for once), and she never stops being grateful for it. Of course it proves her point as well. Happy endings are all around us in real life, too. With hard work and a little luck, the possibilities are endless.
