by Meljean Brook, Emma Holly, Lora Leigh, Shiloh Walker

Venture into a world beyond the ordinary, where the dark passions and voracious appetites of vampires, werewolves, demons, and a few undaunted mortals combine to unleash a potent spell.

Here are lovers like you've never dared to imagine: Eyes that glitter with keenness born of ancient knowledge. Hands that move with a tenderness belying superhuman strength. Inviting smiles that reveal exquisitely lethal fangs. Rippling, leonine muscles. There's danger in the air---and heat.

Steam rises up off the pages of these four scorching novellas, sensuously crafted by four acclaimed authors who beckon you to slip into the shadows and experience the otherworldly pleasures of the night...

In Emma Holly's The Countess's Dancing Boy, a lower-class demon and a lonely widowed countess share a week of unbridled passion that evolves into more than they anticipated.

Sparks fly in Lora Leigh's The Breed Next Door, when sexy Tarak claims Lyra as his lifemate.

The wolfking and a vampire's daughter find that not even the war between their clans can keep them away from each other in Shiloh Walker's The Blood Kiss.

A desperate lady is Meljean Brook's Falling for Anthony when a childhood friend comes back from the dead to protect her brother from an unnatural evil.

    Meljean Brook's Bio

Meljean Brook thought herself a superhero growing up -- a superhero princess. After her dreams of flying were brought to a crashing halt when she jumped off one too many sofas with a towel tied around her neck, she turned to safer pursuits: reading and writing about superheroes, princesses, and romance. She read her first romance at the tender age of eight -- Carole Mortimer's Only Lover, Harlequin Presents #502. Thighs surged, hearts flipped, the men were larger than life and the women more beautiful than princesses, and Meljean was hooked. She consumed thousands of romances over the following two decades, first filching them from her grandmother's library and reading them under her bedcovers, then proudly carrying them with her wherever she went. At the same time, in her notebooks and later her computers, she wrote romances by emulating her favorite authors' styles -- but it wasn't until she wrote romantic fan fiction about two superheroes that she finally found her own voice. Meljean writes sensual paranormal romance -- she likes it sexy, emotional, and just a little weird. Currently, she is writing a novella for Berkley, and finishing her novel Tempting Hugh. She lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband and their young daughter.
