    Driven by LuAnn McLane
Ian Parker may be the hard-as-nails author of a popular mystery series, but when it comes to penning the long-awaited steamy sex scene between his main characters, he's shooting blanks. For help, his agent hooks him up with romantic comedy writer Maxine Mitchell, who knows the "ins and outs" of good love scenes. They retreat to a secluded cabin to get the creative juices flowing—and soon realize that while fiction is fine, the real thing can be much more rewarding...

    Toni Blake's Bio

Toni Blake's love of writing began when she won an essay contest in the fifth grade. By the time she graduated from high school in her small Kentucky community in 1983, she had written her first novella along with countless short stories, and edited her high school newspaper for three years.

However, it wasn't until 1994 that Toni seriously began to pursue her dreams of being a writer. Between 1994 and 1998 she had over thirty short stories and articles published in various youth, literary, and writing publications. In 1996 she was the recipient of the Kentucky Women Writers Fellowship and one of her short stories was nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize.

In the summer of 1995, Toni started writing romance novels at the urging of a good friend and critique partner. In January of 1998 she made her first sale to Precious Gems, with two more following closely behind. In January of 2000, Toni made her first sale to Harlequin.

Toni lives with her husband in a northern Kentucky suburb of Cincinnati and when not writing, she enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, and snow skiing.
