    One Night in Texas
    by Jane Sullivan

    To: Derek Stone

    From: Washington, D.C.

Mission: Break in to a penthouse and retrieve materials being used to blackmail a congressman. Don't fall for the sexy blonde while you're working!

All covert operative Derek Stone wanted was to get in and get out. The job was simple. Unfortunately, getting caught by Alyssa Ballard wasn't part of the plan. Six months ago they'd had a week of wild, wonderful sex. Then he'd left without a trace.

Derek's undercover work allows him to get close to no one—though he can't help wanting another under-the-covers experience with sexy Alyssa. His mission in Dallas wraps up in twenty-four hours, and he wants to make them count. While he knows he should walk away again, Derek wants Alyssa...and one more night in Texas.

    Jane Sullivan's Bio

When Jane was five, her parents told her the book she'd written, Padre the Mexican Mouse, was a literary masterpiece. When she found out later that she'd named her dashing young mouse hero "Father" and that rodents really didn't have nationalities, she was crushed.

Later, Jane earned a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma in the sequence of Professional Writing, but several years passed before she pursued publication. About that time, a friend handed her five romance novels from her keeper shelf, and a few days later after reading them all, she was hooked!

In 1999, Jane was a finalist for Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart Award, which led to her first sale to Harlequin Duets. Several more sales followed shortly after that, and now this award-winning author writes single- title contemporary romances for Ballantine/Ivy, as well as series romance for Harlequin Temptation under the name Jane Sullivan. She lives in a the Dallas area with her husband, her teenage daughter, and a beautiful but brainless cat who keeps her company while she's hard at work on her next book.
